Kansas City had one of the most impressive Week 1 showings as they outscored New England 28-10 in the second half en route to a 42-27 victory. QB Alex Smith was brilliant, completing 28-35 passes for 368 yards and 4 TDs. He was sacked 3 times. Rookie RB Kareem Hunt fumbled on his first carry and then exploded. He ran for 185 yards on 27 carries and caught 5 passes for 98 yards. He also scored 3 times. WR Tyreek Hill caught 7 passes for 133 yards and a score. The defense had 3 sacks and allowed no TD passes. They surrendered 124 rushing yards but they came on 35 attempts (3.5 ypc).
