But Chicago came up completely scoreless on three 1st-and-goal situations inside the Commanders’ 10-yard line, which cost them the game. Two weeks ago, Chicago fell down to Minnesota 21-3, rallied to take the lead in the fourth quarter but lost 29-22. Three weeks ago, the Bears managed just four field goals in a 20-12 loss to the Giants. Chicago’s also been out-gained and out-rushed by four of its six opponents this season. At 2-4 overall, the Bears are already three games behind first-place Minnesota in the NFC North. New England, meanwhile, is 3-3 on the season after winning at Cleveland last Sunday 38-15. The Patriots, with rookie Bailey Zappe playing QB in place of the injured Mac Jones, scored the first three points of the game and led 10-6 at the half.
