The losses continue to pile up for the Tar Heels as part of a very disappointing 1-6 straight-up record through their first seven games. Virginia Tech appears to be headed to a showdown against No. 8 Miami for this year’s ACC Coastal Division title. It is coming off a bye following a close call against Boston College on Oct. 7 in a 23-10 win as a 16-point road favorite. The Hokies are 5-1 SU, but they fall to an even 3-3 ATS. The total has now stayed UNDER in their last three games and on the year it has stayed UNDER or ended as a PUSH in five of their six games.

With Josh Jackson throwing the ball and Travon McMillian running it, the Hokies have been able to average 33.3 PPG. Jackson has completed 65.6 percent of his 192 passing attempts for 1,700 yards and 13 touchdowns against four interceptions. McMillian has carried the ball 55 times for 279 yards and two scores as the team’s leading rusher. The main strength of this team still lies in a defense that is holding opposing teams to 13.7 PPG.
