Georgia Bulldogs at Florida Gators Pick
Betting Odds

It is known simply as the Florida-Georgia game, and it remains one of the most vicious rivalries in all of college sports. The Florida Gators (17-11) and Georgia Bulldogs (10-18) will square off in another edition of their storied rivalry. The next chapter will take place on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 with a scheduled tip-off time of 8:30 PM ET. The contest will be broadcasted on the SEC Network. It is a well-documented fact that these two universities love to hate each other. The Gator Nation has had its way with the Bulldog Nation as of late as they have won seven of the last ten meetings between both parties. The two teams last met in Athens in January where Florida would defeat Georgia 62-52 to cover as a 4.5-point favorite.

Georgia Bulldogs at Florida Gators Overview

Georgia Bulldogs

The Dawgs enter into this contest on a nine-game losing streak. Despite their inability to win, the Bulldog Nation has covered successfully in their last four outings. Most recently, the Dawgs hosted rival Auburn in Athens three days ago and were defeated 78-75. UGA managed to come in under the number as a 7.5-point underdog. Georgia has won just one game in the SEC this season.

Florida Gators

The Orange and Blue enter in oppositely hot form as they have won their last five contests overall. Most recently, UF hosted Vanderbilt three days ago in Gainesville where they went onto dominate the Commodores by a score of 71-55. The victory enabled Florida another successful cover as a 4.5-point choice. The Gators are 9-6 SU in SEC play.

Reasons To Back Georgia

With a 1-8 SU away record, their present losing streak, and their appalling conference record overall, takers that back Georgia here are most likely are getting the Dawgs here at an inflated point spread as that is the only way the book can enchant action on the Red Black. By this narrative alone, the Dawgs with the points here are a true value play. However, it doesn’t hurt that Georgia’s offense scores five more points per game compared to Florida. The Dawgs average 73.8 points per game (141st in the NCAA) compared to Florida who curates 68.8 points per outing (281st in America).

Reasons To Avoid Florida

On the opposite side of the spectrum, Florida is prone to be overvalued by their supremacy in this series and their overall profitability in Gainesville against their arch-rivals. The Bulldogs are 2-7 ATS in Florida's stead which once again positions the Gators to be laying more points than they should with respect to their propensity to be overvalued. With the SEC Tournament just around the corner, we cannot help but suspect the Gators could be guilty of looking past the Dawgs here which makes them a dangerous play with this kind of lumber.

Georgia Bulldogs at Florida Gators Prediction 03/02/2019
Rivalry games produce the unexpected, and few teams hate each other as much as the Dawgs and the Gators. With Georgia’s season all but done, they will treat this border state feud as a March Madness game. The Dawgs will throw the kitchen sink at the Gators and have all the makings to become a barking dog capable of producing a scare or even an upset.
