<p>
Jimmy Butler carried the short-handed Heat to a victory over the Lakers in Game 3 of this NBA Finals series Sunday, helping Miami avoid an 0-3 deficit. But can he do it again when the teams meet for Game 4 Tuesday night? Or will Los Angeles re-establish control? And how are we playing this game with our free NBA Finals pick?

Los Angeles leads this Finals series two games to one following Miami's 115-104 Game 3 victory Sunday. Miami led by 13 points in the first quarter, but LA used a 28-11 run to take a 37-33 lead in the second. The Heat battled back to take a 58-54 advantage into halftime, then used a 10-0 run out of the locker room to go up 68-54. The Lakers then rallied to lead 91-89 with nine minutes left in the game, but Miami finished with a 26-13 flourish for the much-needed outright victory as an underdog of 9.5 points. The Heat also cashed in at a price of +250 on the NBA Finals betting money line. On the night, Miami shot 51 percent from the floor, held Los Angeles to just 43 percent shooting, outscored the Lakers in the paint 52-34, and won the turnover battle 20-13. With Sunday's win, the Heat are now 13-5 both SU and ATS this playoff season. With Sunday's loss, LA is now 14-4 SU, 11-6-1 ATS this playoff season. Also, the Lakers are 4-1 SU, 3-2 ATS against Miami this season. Sunday's game just sneaked under its total of 219.5. So the unders are now 2-1 in this Finals series. NBA futures odds opened this Finals series with LA lined as a -390 favorite, Miami as a +310 underdog. Heading into Game 4, the Lakers are now listed at -920 to close this thing out, with the Heat getting +520 to pull off the comeback. On the injury front, Miami C Bam Adebayo and G Goran Dragic have missed the last two games, and they'll both probably miss Game 4, too.

Lakers vs Heat Prediction 10/10/20
The Heat won Sunday without Adebayo and Dragic, but we can't help but believe that was a fluke. Miami probably won't shoot 51 percent from the floor again Tuesday, and Los Angeles probably won't commit 20 turnovers again. The Heat's victory Sunday served to temper the spread on this game, dimming it by a bucket. We like the Lakers, minus the points, for our free NBA pick on Game 4.
