<h2>
Brewers vs. Giants Set-Up<br />
</h2>
<p>
San Francisco took the opener of this series Friday night 5-3, cashing in as a +135 home dog on the MLB betting line. The Giants then came from behind to take Saturday's game 8-7 as -115 favorites. San Francisco trailed Saturday 4-0 early and 6-5 through 6.5 innings, but scored twice in the bottom of the seventh and once in the eighth, then hung on from there. With Saturday's victory, San Francisco now owns a four-game winning streak. At 30-38 overall the Giants trail the division-leading Dodgers by 15.5 games in the NL West, but they're "only" eight games off the pace in the battle for the second National League wild-card spot. With Saturday's loss, Milwaukee is now 1-3 over its last four games. At 39-31 the Brewers are tied with the Cubs for the lead in the NL Central. This series is the first meeting between these two teams this season. Last year Milwaukee took the season series from San Francisco six games to one.

<h2>
Sunday's Starting Arms<br />
</h2>
<p>
Samardzija is just 3/13 on quality starts this season and one for his last three. Last Saturday he gave up three runs and seven hits through 5 1/3 innings of a 7-2 Giants loss to the Dodgers. And over his last three starts, he's allowed nine runs and 18 hits through 15 1/3 innings. On the season San Francisco is 6-7 with Samardzija, just 1-5 over his last six starts. This will be Samardzija's first start against the Brewers since 2017 when over two starts he allowed four runs – two earned – through 13 2/3 innings. But the lineup he'll face Sunday will be a little different than the one he faced back then. Anderson is just 1/7 on quality starts this year. Last Sunday he held Pittsburgh to two runs and four hits through six innings of a 5-2 Milwaukee win. But over his three starts previous to that he gave up nine runs and 19 hits through 13 innings. The Brewers are 4-3 with Anderson this season, 2-1 over his last three starts. In two starts last year against the Giants Anderson allowed just three runs and nine hits over 11 innings. Milwaukee won both those games.

<h2>
Sunday's Batting Splits<br />
</h2>
<p>
Milwaukee is batting .252/.332/.449 against right-handed pitching this season. This lineup has also scored at least five runs seven times in its last eight games. San Francisco is batting .226/.293/.384 against RH pitching, which ranks this lineup among the very worst in Baseball in this split.
</p>
<h2>
The Bullpens<br />
</h2>
<p>
After blowing Saturday's game, the Brewers bullpen now owns a 4.37 ERA this season and a 1.30 WHIP. The Giants pen owns a 3.78 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP, helping this unit rank among the top five bullpens in Baseball this season.

Brewers vs. Giants Prediction 6/16/19

This pitching match-up seems about a wash, and while Milwaukee owns an edge with the sticks, San Francisco owns the edge in the bullpen. Also, the Giants are just playing the better ball as of late. We'll go with San Francisco at the home dog price for our free MLB pick for Sunday.
