Brewers vs. Phillies Set-Up<br />

Milwaukee just dropped two of three games to the Cubs in Chicago over the weekend, losing Sunday's series rubber match 4-1. The Brewers also lost Saturday 2-1 in 15 innings. But prior to that Milwaukee won seven in a row.

At 24-18 overall the Brewers sit in second place in the NL Central, two games behind the division-leading Cubs.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, just took two of three games from the Royals in Kansas City, winning Sunday's rubber match 6-1. Just before that, the Phillies took two of three from the Cardinals in St. Louis, and just back that they took two of three at home from Washington. In fact, Philadelphia is 4-0-1 over its last five series and 11-5 over its previous 16 games.

At 23-16 overall the Phillies lead the NL East by three games over second-place Atlanta.

This series is the first meeting between these teams this season. Last year these teams split six games.

Monday's Starting Arms<br />

Nola is only 3/8 on quality starts this season but one out away from being three for his last three. Last Tuesday he held the Cardinals to one run and three hits through six innings of an 11-1 Philly victory, and over his previous three starts he's allowed just three runs and 17 hits through 18 1/3 innings, with 17 strikeouts.

On the season the Phillies are 4-4 with Nola, but 3-1 over his last four starts.

In his only start, last year against Milwaukee Nola gave up four runs and seven hits through 4 1/3 innings of a game Philly eventually won 10-9.

Peralta is just 1/5 on quality starts this season and 0 for his last three. Freddy got rocked for 16 earned runs and 20 hits, including six homers, through three starts, covering just 10 2/3 innings, through May 2. But he came up with a solid outing in relief last Tuesday, holding Washington scoreless on three hits through five innings, from the third through the seventh, earning the victory in a 6-0 Brewers win.

Milwaukee is 2-3 in Peralta's starts this season.

This will be Peralta's first-ever start against Philly, which could give him an edge, at least for the first couple of times through the lineup.
