Dodgers vs. Brewers Set-Up<br />

Los Angeles just swept three games at home from Cincinnati this week, winning Wednesday's series finale 3-2. So the Dodgers now own a four-game winning streak, after losing six in a row.

LA pitching has allowed just seven runs total over its last four games.

At 12-8 overall the Dodgers lead the NL West by a half-game over second-place San Diego.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, just took two of three games at home from rival St. Louis, missing out on the sweep by losing Wednesday afternoon 6-3. Nonetheless, the Brewers have won two series in a row, going 4-2 over their last six games.

At 12-7 overall Milwaukee leads the NL Central by a half-game over second-place Pittsburgh.

This series is the second encounter between these teams this season; last weekend the Brewers took two of three games from the Dodgers out in LA.

Thursday's Starting Arms<br />

Davies is only 1/3 on quality starts this season but four outs away from being 3/3. Last Saturday he held this Los Angeles team to one run and eight hits through seven innings of a 4-1 Milwaukee victory, and just before that he held the Cubs to two unearned runs through 5 2/3 innings of a 4-2 Brewers win. On the season Davies has allowed only three earned runs and 17 hits through 17 2/3 innings.
