Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks Set-Up<br />

Los Angeles just swept three games at home from NL East-leading Philadelphia, finishing things off with an 8-0 victory Sunday. Just before that, the Dodgers took three of four at home from the Mets, and just before that they swept three games from the Pirates in Pittsburgh. So LA owns a five-game winning streak, part of a current 9-1 run.

Arizona, meanwhile, just took two of three games at home from the Mets, winning Sunday's series rubber match 7-1. But just before that the Diamondbacks got swept four games at Colorado. So Arizona is only 2-5 over its last seven games.

At 41-19 overall Los Angeles leads the NL West by nine games over second-place Colorado, with the 30-30 D'Backs sitting 11 games back.

This series is the second meeting between these teams this season. Back in March the Dodgers took three of four games from the D'Backs at Chavez Ravine.

Monday's Starting Arms<br />

Lefty Ray is just 1/12 on quality starts this season, although some of that has to do with a short leash. Five times this season he's gotten within three outs or less of an official QS, only to be pulled. Last Wednesday he gave up five runs – four earned – on eight hits and four walks through 4 2/3 innings of a 5-4 Arizona loss to Colorado. But over his previous five starts, he allowed just six ER and 24 hits through 25 2/3 innings.

On the season the D'Backs are 7-5 with Ray, but only 1-2 over his last three starts.

Over his last three starts against Los Angeles, two last year and one in that series back in March, Ray allowed six runs and 11 hits through 15 1/3 innings. Arizona won two of those three games.

Buehler is 5/11 on quality starts this season and four for his last five. Last Wednesday he got touched for five runs and seven hits, including a couple of homers, through five innings against the Mets, although the Dodgers eventually won that game 9-8. And over his previous four starts, he allowed just five ER and 21 hits through 26 innings.

LA is 7-4 with Buehler this year, 2-0 over his last two starts.
