Despite having a great outing in Game 2 of the NLDS Kershaw has had his issues in the playoffs and in 25 career post-season appearances, including 20 starts, he is 8-7 with an ERA of 4.08. In 14 career starts against the Brewers Kershaw is 6-5 with an ERA of 2.68. The Dodgers have won 36 of his last 51 road starts, and they have won 42 of his last 53 starts against a team with a winning record.

Gonzalez will be making his first appearance in the playoffs in this game and in his last start of the regular season he was solid not giving up any earned runs and only allowing three hits in five innings in an 11-0 win over the Detroit Tigers. The Brewers won all five of Gonzalez's starts after coming over in a trade with the Washington Nationals in late August. In three of Gonzalez's five starts for Milwaukee he did not give up any earned runs, and in the other two outings he gave up three earned runs in each.
