Indians vs. Rangers Set-Up<br />

Texas took the opener of this series Monday night 7-2, but Cleveland took Tuesday's game 10-3. The Rangers won as +115 home dogs Monday, but the Indians won as -115 favorites Tuesday.

Also, while Monday's game played under a total of 9.5 runs Tuesday's game played over 10.5.

With Tuesday's victory, Cleveland is 9-4 over its last 13 games. At 38-34 overall the Indians trail first-place Minnesota by 10 games in the AL Central, but they're also just a half-game behind Texas and Boston in the battle for the second American League wild-card spot.

With Tuesday's defeat, Texas is 3-2 over its last five games. At 39-34 overall the Rangers trail first-place Houston by 8.5 games in the AL West but they're also tied with the Red Sox for the second AL wild-card spot.

This series is the first meeting between these two teams this season. Last year the Tribe took four of six games from the Rangers.

Wednesday's Starting Arms<br />

Lefty rookie Palumbo is making his second career ML start. Two Saturdays ago he gave up four runs and six hits through four innings against Oakland, although Texas won that game 10-5.
</p>
<p>
Earlier this Summer Palumbo posted a 3.19 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP in 11 appearances down at Double-A Frisco, covering 53 2/3 innings.
</p>
<p>
This will be, obviously, Palumbo's first-ever appearance against Cleveland, which could give him an edge, at least for the first couple of times through the lineup.
</p>
<p>
Plutko is three-for-four on quality starts this season and two for his last two. Last Friday he held Detroit to three runs – two earned – and five hits, including a couple of homers, through six innings of a 13-4 Indians victory. And just before that he held the Yankees to two runs and three hits through six frames.

Cleveland is 3-1 with Plutko this season.

This will be Plutko's first-ever start against Texas, which, as mentioned above, could give him an edge, at least for the first couple of times through the lineup.
