<h2>
Pitt at Notre Dame Overview<br />
</h2>
<p>
The Panthers have evenly split their first six games 3-3 both straight-up and against the spread. After getting clubbed by Central Florida 45-14 as 13.5-point road underdogs, they bounced back last Saturday with a 44-37 victory against Syracuse as 3.5-point underdogs at home. They are 0-2 SU and ATS on the road this season with the total going OVER in three of their last five games overall. Pitt is 2-4-2 ATS over its last eight road games.
</p>
<p>
In last week’s win against the Orange, the Panthers rolled up 265 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 47 rushing attempts. Qadree Ollison led the way with 192 yards and a score on 24 carries. Kenny Pickett put the ball up 20 times, and he completed 11 passes for 137 yards with one touchdown throw and one interception. This lack of balance on offense could be an issue if the Irish can find a way to shut down the run. The other problem is a defense that is allowing an average of 32.8 points per game.
</p>
<p>
Notre Dame started the season with a big win against Michigan as a three-point underdog, and it made a significant jump in the rankings by knocking off Stanford 38-17 as a 4.5-point home favorite. The Irish moved to 6-0 SU with a 4-2 mark ATS by hammering Virginia Tech last Saturday as 6.5-point favorites on the road. There was a pair of close calls against Ball State and Vanderbilt earlier in the season, but for the most part, this has been a solid betting team this year.
</p>
<p>
With an average of 246.0 passing yards a game complementing a ground game that is gaining an average of 195.7 rushing yards, Notre Dame has been extremely balanced on this side of the ball. The offense is ranked 40th in the nation in scoring with 34.8 points per game and on defense, the Irish drop to 27th in Division IA (FBS) when it comes to points allowed (19.5).

Pittsburgh at Notre Dame Prediction 10/13/2018
Pittsburgh could be an exciting test for Notre Dame coming off a pair of lopsided victories against ranked teams, but I am not sure that the Panthers have the talent on both sides of the ball to keep things close if the Irish bring their "A Game".
Notre Dame has failed to cover in the two games it closed as a double-digit favorite, but its offense continues to get stronger and stronger with each passing week. My lean is towards the Irish covering the three touchdowns at home, but my ‘best bet’ play in this one is the OVER on the 56-point total line.
