Week 3 in the CFL gets rolling Thursday night with the red hot Edmonton Eskimos visiting the 1-0 Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Despite back to back impressive wins, Edmonton has been labeled a 4.5 point dog heading into the contest with the total line set at 58. The action is slated to begin June 27 at 8:30 pm ET.

<h2>
Betting Overview<br />
</h2>
<p>
Trevor Harris and the new look Eskimos' offense has impressed live and on paper in their first two games averaging 370.5 yards per game in through the air and another 138 on the ground. Yes the numbers came against the lowly Alouettes and the rebuilding Lions, but both teams looked decent in their outings, Edmonton just executed better.

<p>
The faces at Bomber Command have not changed in some time from the GM down to the DC, this has resulted in a consistent play out of this squad, but not championship play yet. This might be the last year for this staff if the Bombers don’t make it to the big game. They looked capable in their 33-23 road win over the Lions two weeks ago, but only passed the ball for 180 yards, they’ll need to improve on that if they want to win against the better teams and keep their jobs.

<h2>
Head to Head<br />
</h2>
<p>
These teams haven’t seen each other since the last week of regular play in 2018 when Edmonton ended Winnipeg's chances of moving up a playoff spot by beating them 24-33 at home. The Bombers have been scoring a minimum of 30 pts per game at home vs. Edmonton since 2017 and are 2-1 ATS in that spot, Edmonton has dominated the series SU, but the Bombers have their number ATS going 6-3-1. Both teams have had prolific offenses for some time, so it's no surprise the total has gone over 6 of the last 10 meetings.
</p>
<h2>
Why Edmonton Can Win<br />
</h2>
<p>
Trevor Harris (QB) looked highly motivated to win with his new team, which might be the best one he played on so far. Some off-season signings and a new DC might be all it takes to shore up that side of the ball which plagued them most of last year. The stat that has been killing Harris is his one interception per game that he's been throwing. If Harris can stay clean or have the D bail him out, this Edmonton can beat anybody.
</p>
<h2>
Why Winnipeg Can Win<br />
</h2>
<p>
Winnipeg, on the other hand, is all about consistency. The coach, the QB the o-line etc, the team has stayed relatively intact over the last few years, if Winnipeg put it all together they can take themselves to a championship game possibly, for this matchup however all they need to do is play their consistent game, and they'll have a chance to win it.
</p>
<h2>
Injury Notes<br />
</h2>
<p>
The Bombers veteran receiver Chris Mathews took first-team reps this week in practice, but it's unclear whether he'll play on Thursday, or how much. That'll be a coaches decision made before the depth charts or released Wednesday evening.
</p>
<h2>
Weather Forecast<br />
</h2>
<p>
The weather looks to be a warm, windless prairie night with a high of 90 degrees and winds of 3m/h.

Eskimos at Blue Bombers Prediction 06/27/2019
The Bombers are 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10, but they are usually the dog, and that's the position I prefer to play them in, 4.5pts is too many points for a team that just plays "consistently". Winnipeg disappoints as the fav again on Thursday Night.
