The BC Lions off of a heart breaker in Calgary stay on the road and travel to Montreal to play the Alouettes at Percival Molson Stadium on Thursday night. The oddsmaker has the Lions as a -3 road favorite with the Over/Under line on the betting board at 50 points.

BC blew a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter of last week’s 44-41 overtime loss to Calgary as a five-point road underdog. The defensive collapse wasted another solid performance by quarterback Jonathon Jennings, who ended the day with 374 yards passing and three touchdown throws. The Lions’ defense had only allowed an average of 18.3 points through its first four games before getting torched for 22 fourth-quarter points against the Stampeders.

Montreal snapped a three-game skid (SU and ATS) with last week’s 41-3 rout over Saskatchewan as a two-point favorite at home. The Alouettes had only managed to score a combined 59 points in their first four games before last week’s outburst. Kevin Glenn had a big day throwing the ball and wide receiver Duron Carter had a big day catching it with eight receptions for 115 yards and a score. I am looking for a much better effort from BC’s defense on Thursday against an Alouettes’ offense that is still suspect. Take the Lions to cover the three points on the road.
