<p>
In the first game on the Week 3 CFL odds board the BC Lions travel to Montreal to take on the Alouettes on Thursday night. The Lions hit the board as a three-point favorite, but the point spread has fallen to BC -2.5 at most sports betting sites. The total has gone up a point from its opener to 50 points.

BC bounced back from a tough loss to Edmonton as a home favorite in Week 1 with a big 28-15 victory against Toronto last week as a slight two-point road underdog on the strength of an 18-point fourth quarter. Jonathon Jennings ended the game with 301 yards passing and Jeremiah Johnson added another 70 yards on the ground while averaging 7.8 yards an attempt. The Lions do need to get a faster start out of the gate this Thursday night, but they still have one of the most balanced offenses in the league.

BC Lions at Montreal Alouettes Prediction
Montreal is going to have to counter with the stingiest defense in the CFL through the first two weeks. After holding Saskatchewan to 16 points on opening day, it manage to limit Edmonton to 23 points in a four-point loss as a nine-point road underdog. The Alouettes are going to need better production from Darian Durant and a passing game that only managed to gain 166 yards in last week’s loss. West against East, I am going with BC to cover the three points on the road as the better all-around team.
