Louisville is a very good home going 7-1 straight up in ACC games, but on the road it’s a different story with a 4-4 record. The Cards have lost every match against high quality conference teams losing to Florida State, Virginia, UNC and Notre Dame. Wake Forest isn’t quite at that level yet but they are playing extremely well at home right now. They’ve won three straight and four of their last five with the loss being by two points to Duke. The value tonight is definitely on the live home dog.

VCU lost to a a decent Rhode Island team in their latest which broke off a nine game winning streak. They’re 13-3 straight up in Atlantic 10 games including a five point home victory over Dayton. What is concerning though is their road record. The Rams are 5-3 in conference road games, but 3-5 versus the spread are 1-2 ATS in their three losses. Dayton comes into this game on a roll with eight consecutive wins and are 14-2 versus conference teams with a perfect 8-0 as as a host. The previous loss and the home crowd should make a difference here as the home squad gets the win and the cover.

The Wolverines are a poor 2-5 in conference road games beating an undermanned Indiana and lowly Rutgers. To make matters worse, Michigan lives by the 3-point ball and face a defense that is very efficient defending the three. Another factor in this game may be the return to form of Scottie Lidsey who played 34 minutes putting up 13 points.

UGA has been playing great ball with a loss to Kentucky as their only blemish in their last five games. That said the margin of victory hasn’t been impressive winning with four of their last five home wins being by 5 or fewer points. In their earlier game match they won 12 points on the road and while many will think that they can win by double digits again I won’t have Georgia on my ticket. Bulldogs’ forward Yante Maten scored 31 points in that game and he won’t suit up tonight.

Oklahoma State hasn't is only a moderate 9-7 versus fellow Big 12 teams, but is on a roll after starting the conferce schedule with six consecutive losses they have nine of their last ten including five straight. Iowa State is 11-5 in Big 12 games and like Ok State have won five straight so this isn't an easy call to make. I'm going use this angle - the Cowboys are 9-1 in their last 10 (5 straight as a visitor) with the loss being by three points which would get us a push in this spot.

The Hoyas lost by two in overtime when they hosted the Pirates earlier this month and now have to face them on the road where they are 2-6 versus conference teams. Seton Hall has two loses on the books in Big East play losing to VIllanova and Butler. In their last five as as host they're 3-2, but 2-3 against the spread with the largest margin being by 7 points. They'll mostly likely be without F Ismael Sanogo who doesn't put up a lot of points but is counted on to play solid defense off of the bench and played 19 minutes in the earlier game vs. the Hoyas. I'll side with the road team and the points here in what should be a close game. 

Though the Panthers enter in similar fashion to the Yellow Jackets in that they have lost three of their previous four contests, Pitt have acquired some losses easier to the eye while also manifesting an impressive home win against the team sitting in second in the ACC race, Florida State. The Panthers lost to Wake Forest and Virginia Tech by just three points on the road in succession and then most recently to North Carolina in Chapel Hill where they were pummeled by the Tar Heels. Regardless of how good Pitt’s wins and losses look compared to GT losing to NC State at home for instance, this is a team that has had a lot of trouble away from the Steel City this season and they have struggled mightily in ACC play. As a result, it is safe to assume that the location of this contest can have a mental effect on both teams. In regards to Georgia Tech’s predicament in particular, the Jackets need to win and as a result need all the help they can get to foster a victory. There are many compelling reasons to believe Georgia Tech can do so in addition to relying solely on home court advantage. The Yellow Jackets boast the better defense, collect more rebounds and feature more depth on their bench. From this vantage alone, it can be safe to conclude that the Panthers may not be able to compete with the Yellow Jackets. Look for Georgia Tech’s scrappy defense to control the tempo and scoring of this one.

Miami has been on an exceptional run. They've dropped two contests in their last ten with a let down loss to FSU after shocking UNC and a five point road loss to Louisville. The Hurricanes have three high quality wins in that stretch beating the Tar Heels at home, UVA on the road and Duke at home over the 10 games. Virginia Tech has just one defeat this season at home losing to Notre Dame back in the middle of January and has strung together four straight wins since that time. They come into this game winners of four of their last five overall and while they were on the losing end in an earlier match-up on the road against Miami the margin was six points and the Hokies play far superior at home. Look for the Hurricanes to regress off of their win over Duke.

Neither team has been scoring with Georgia State surpassing 70 points on just one occasion in their last four games and Arkansas State has failed to score more than 67 points in their last three. A lot can change in college basketball season to season, but just for the record in the last five games played in this series all five fell short of the total in regulation time.

Virginia lost four straight before getting a victory in their latest against North Carolina State. I definitely don't think that the win over a NC State team that who had lost seven of their previous eight signals any sort of reversal of form. The Tar Heels are just 6-4 on the road, so it's not like they can't come up with a dud here. That said, I don't believe that will be the case here. UNC rocked UVA by 24 points in their previous match up and it wasn't hot shooting by the offense. It was their defense holding Virginia to a 27.8 FG% and a miniscule 10% from behind the arc.

West Virginia averages 7.66 3-pointers per game and put up 9 in the previous meeting for the easy 21 point win. Baylor has guarded well against the three at home for the most part but as Oklahoma State proved there can be some open shot. Baylor will be better here, but I don't see them being 22 points better.

The Trojans are on a three game losing streak, but in all fairness they have played the top three clubs in the conference. What is a bit of a surprise is the way that they lost, losing all three games by at least of 11 points, so their confidence level may be on the low side of the meter. ASU played USC tough on the road by just three points and it certainly would be a reach to think that Sun Devils can win this game outright.

Memphis knocked off Houston in overtime to get the three point road win in their last meeting and a switch of venues should give the Tigers a sweep a regular season sweep of the Cougars. Memphis is 13-3 at home this season overall and 5-2 in their conference with a stinker against Temple and a four point loss to SMU as their two defeats. Houston has back to back road wins over bottom feeding Tulsa and Tulane, but the story was different when playing moderate to good conference teams falling to SMU by 21 and UCF by 5.

The loss of guard Eron Harris can’t be discounted, but the Spartans did respond with a resounding 16-point win over the Cornhuskers in their first game with his absence. Michigan State has been on a roll at home winning their last four and catch Wisconsin on a downward spiral. The Badgers have dropped three of their last four games and while they are a decent 5-3 on road straight up they’re 2-6 against the spread and keep in mind that three of those wins were in overtime. The wrong team is favored here.

I’d normally fade a team off of a big upset win which is the spot that Butler is in today. However, Xavier hasn’t proven that it can win without guard Edmond Summer. They won the first two games that he missed, by destroying their opponent on the glass an event that is very unlikely to happen in this match.

The assessment and prognostication of North Dakota is at astounding levels. Not only are the Fighting Hawks sitting in the pole position of the Big Sky race, they are coming in off a landmark win achieved at the defending conference champion Weber State’s house. The Hawks would defeat the Wildcats by eight points despite entering the contest as a six-point underdog. An outcome of this nature exclusively is susceptible to generate an overreaction from the consensus. As a result, the follow-up effort in a contest against a perceived weaker opponent on the road, sets up North Dakota for a terrible let-down. Despite the contrasting records both in conference play and overall, Northern Colorado is set up perfectly here to submarine North Dakota who are likely coming in off a hangover from the huge win at Weber State. It is worth highlighting that over the previous seasons, the Bears in particular have been a nuisance for North Dakota. When comparing the two teams, the Bears own a better defense and the deeper bench. These advantages were procured against one of the toughest ranked non-conference schedules in America. The Bears will see their hosting opportunity as a chance to gain redemption for the loss three weeks ago where they saw a double-digit lead disintegrate down the back stretch. Place North Dakota on upset alert.

Look Arizona won the first meeting handily by 11 on the road and now take on UCLA at home where they’re 15-0. I just don’t see a different outcome tonight.

I could make an argument for Duke in this spot, but I believe that the total has more value. These two teams put up a combined total of 128 points. They now switch venues to Miami where the Hurricanes plat exceptional defense allowing 62.6 point per game. They’re 9-15-1 versus the O/U line and I like the trend to continue today.

One thing both of these clubs has been doing is playing top notch defense. Purdue has held its last four opponents to 64 or fewer points and Michigan has been outstanding allowing 70 or less points in nine of their last 10 games. This see this game hitting the mid 130’s which gives some value to the under side of this total.

Baylor barely held off Iowa State at home in their earlier meeting and now face the Cyclones on the road. ISU is unbeatable at home losing conference games to WVU and KU, but they are solid. Their shooting numbers both for offense and defense are far superior in the host role and they should be able to reverse the result against a Baylor team that has lost four of their last six conference games.
