The Rays starter rookie Blake Snell has been very good in three road starts allowing two or fewer runs in all three outings and brings a 1.53 road ERA into this game. The Athletics called up Jesse Hahn who has been up and down when in the majors this season, but has pitched well at home this season recording three quality starts in four games with Oakland getting the W in three of the four outings.
