<p>St. Louis finds itself in an almost must-win situation for Saturday night after getting shutout in its last two games. Following a 4-0 loss in Game 2 as -126 home favorites, the Blues were blanked again in Thursday's 3-0 loss as +127 underdogs on the road. They are now 5-3 on the road during the postseason and the total has stayed UNDER in the first three games of this series after going OVER or ending as a PUSH in 12 of their previous 13 playoff games.

<p>Brian Elliott has had his issues in goal the past two games and he was eventually replaced by Jake Allen in Thursday's loss. Center David Backes and right winger Vladimir Tarasenko have combined for 14 goals, but only one of those goals has come in this series.

<p>The Sharks needed just five games to get past Los Angeles in the opening round before going the distance to get past Nashville in the conference semifinals. During the postseason they have gone 6-1 at home and the total has gone OVER or ended as a PUSH in five of those seven games. San Jose was held to just one goal in the series opener against the Blues as a +126 road underdog, but it has now scored three or more goals in six of its last seven playoff games.

<p>Tomas Herti did the bulk of the damage in Game 3 with two goals and Joe Pavelski and Joe Thornton were credited with assists on both of those scores. Pavelski leads the team in goals in the postseason with nine and center Logan Couture leads the Sharks in total points with 20 (7 goals and 13 assists). Martin Jones pitched both shutouts in goal the past two games by stopping 26 shots in Game 2 and another 22 shots in Thursday's win. His save percentage through 15 playoff games now stands at .927 with a goals-against average of 1.89.
