Boston drew first blood in this best-of-seven series with a tight 2-1 victory on Wednesday night as a -120 road favorite. The total stayed UNDER the closing five-goal line. Tuukka Rask got the start in goal for the Bruins and he turned away 26 of the 27 shots he faced.

The Senators have something to prove after opening as rare home underdogs when the series price betting odds were first released. They finished second to Montreal in the Atlantic Division with 98 total points after winning three of their last four games including a 2-1 victory against Boston on April 6 as +180 road underdogs. The total has stayed UNDER in four of their last five games. Ottawa posted a 22-11-8 record on its home ice this season.

Following a scoreless first period, Bobby Ryan gave the Senators the early lead with the only goal scored in the second period. The defense did its part by not allowing a single shot on goal in that middle period. Ottawa was 10th in the NHL this season in goals allowed (2.6), but it is going to need more production from an offense that was 22nd in goals scored (2.5).
