Tennessee at Houston Game Overview

With an even straight-up record through their first 10 games, the Titans are still looking for some type of consistency from one week to the next. After stunning New England 34-10 in Week 10 as 6.5-point home underdogs, they came out completely flat last Sunday in a 38-10 loss to Indianapolis as 1.5-point underdogs on the road. Tennessee is 6-4 against the spread overall with an even 3-3 record ATS on the road. The total has stayed UNDER in seven of its first 10 games.

Titans’ quarterback Marcus Mariota is still listed as questionable on the latest injury report as a result of a stinger he sustained against the Colts. If he cannot go on Monday night, look for Blaine Gabbert to get the start. In relief of Mariota last Sunday, he completed 11-of-16 passes for 118 yards and one touchdown. The Titans could lean more heavily on Dion Lewis and a running game that is averaging 111.7 rushing yards per game. Tennessee's defense might have to play a more prominent role with a solid points-allowed average of 18.9.

It has been a tale of two seasons for Houston. The first one started 0-3 both SU and ATS, including a 20-17 loss to Tennessee in Week 2 as a three-point road favorite. The current season is on a major roll with seven SU victories in a row. The Texans failed to cover in last Sunday’s 23-21 road win against Washington as three-point favorites to fall to 4-6 ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in six of their first 10 games.

Deshaun Watson is healthy and ready to go on Monday night after throwing for 2,597 yards, and 18 touchdowns in his first 10 starts this year. His favorite target in the passing game has been DeAndre Hopkins with 68 receptions for 950 yards and eight scores. Lamar Miller is the Texans' leading rusher with 611 yards and two touchdowns on 145 carries. Houston is averaging 23.9 points a game on offense while holding opposing teams to 20.5 points on the other side of the ball.

Tennessee at Houston Prediction 11/26/2018
It is safe to say that Monday night is a must win for Tennessee to keep pace in the AFC South Division race, but it will be a tall task to get one against a red-hot Houston team playing this game on its home field. The Titans should still be able to keep this game close to make things interesting right through the fourth quarter.
While my lean in this one is with Tennessee ATS, I am betting that the total stays UNDER 41 points.
