Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints Free Point Spread Pick - Odds - ATS Prediction
Betting Odds

Tampa Bay couldn’t get anything going offensively in a 17-3 loss to Carolina last Sunday. New Orleans got by Chicago 20-12 last week.

The Buccaneers have lost 4-straight games and QB Jameis Winston’s injured right shoulder bears some of that responsibility. He has turned the ball over 5 times in the past 2 games and could be replaced by QB Ryan Fitzpatrick if his struggles continue. The Saints pass defense has been good in 2017 (224.4) but they’ll face 4 different receivers with 25+ catches on the year. Tampa Bay has done a great job of moving the ball through the air but they’re not finishing in the red zone and costly mistakes are hampering them as well. The Bucs have averaged only 81 ypg on the ground and even the return of RB Doug Martin hasn’t been able to resuscitate a dormant running game. New Orleans’ run defense hasn’t been good (4.9 ypc, 120.3 ypg) so look for Tampa to stay with the run a little longer this week.

The Saints are getting it done on offense via the run and pass. During their current 5-game winning streak, they are averaging 30 ppg. QB Drew Brees is having another big season but he doesn’t have to do it all by himself anymore. RBs Mark Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara are averaging 4.3 and 5.8 ypc respectively and HC Sean Payton is leaning more on the ground game. The Buccaneers run defense has been solid this season but they will be worried about containing the passing game. They allow 274.7 ypg through the air and have notched only 7 sacks on the season. Conversely, Brees has only been sacked 7 times this year so don’t expect to see Brees under siege all game. Look for New Orleans’ balanced attack to give this defense fits all day.

Public Money Consensus

In this week 10 of the NFL game between Tampa Bay and New Orleans have the public leaning to the Saints to cover the 7 point spread with 60% on board. The over/under bettors are slightly thinking this game will go over the total line of 50 with just over 50%.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints Week 9 Prediction
These teams are going in opposite directions as the Saints are rolling (all 5 wins by 8+ points). Brees is playing more relaxed as he knows the fate of the team is no longer squarely on his shoulders. The running game and defense are both pulling their weight and I like the home side to make it 6 in a row.
