NFL Week 12 Picks
Betting Odds

It’s hard to believe that we already have 11 weeks of the NFL season in the books. In Week 12 I have a handful of picks from the betting card.

New England Patriots at NY Jets

Spread: Pats -10
Total: 46.5

Jets rookie QB Sam Darnold remains out and while I expect McCown to play better this week than his 17 of 34 two interception effort against Buffalo, I don’t seem him igniting this offense but with the return of deep threat and leading yard getter WR Robby Anderson they may be ab le to hit 20 or so. The Pats QB may have been dealing with an illness should be able to go today. TE Rob Gronkowski back is being reported as a go giving Brady the best receiver set up that he has had this season. The jets have allowed 300 or more points per game in all four games facing an upper level QB. I liked the pats laying 10 but the move -13 has me on the total.

Cleveland at Browns at Cincinnati Bengals

Spread: Bengals -1
Total: 46.5

The Bengals have recorded fewer than 300 yards in four of their last five games. They go into to this divisional game missing their top two TE’s and their all word receiver A.J. Green. The browns defense can be exploited but an undermanned Cincy is not the one to do it.

NY Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

Spread: Eagles -4
Total: 49

The Giants got blown out 34-13 at home by the Eagles in their earlier match. Whether the short week or the last-minute loss on the road to the Panthers in the prior week had an impact the G-men found themselves in a 24-6 hole at the half. The yardage totals were very close and this the Eagles are devastated on the defensive side of the ball. I have this game be3ing decided by a field goal.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos

Spread: Steelers -3
Total: 47.5

The Steelers are playing back to back on the road and the third game away in the last four. They were lucky to escape last week against an offensively challenged Jaguars team with a beat up line. This Week’s opponent the Broncos have played better than their record suggests with six games this season against teams with a winning record. They are 0-3 against winning teams at home, but they lost the three games by 4 to KC, 3 to LAR and 2 to HOU.

Arizona Cardinals at LA Chargers

Spread: Chargers -14
Total: 43

The Cards have played well against the pass, but the Chargers have a ton of weapons and the Arizona’s shut down of the top two receivers doesn’t cut it against LAC with Rivers spraying the ball all over the field. The Chargers didn’t pick up a sack last week, but with DE Joey Bosa taking more snaps in his second back look for rookie QB Josh Rosen to be running for his life on most passing downs. I’ll lay the big number in a game that can get away from the Cardinals early.
