Jacksonville blasted Baltimore 44-7 in London last Sunday. New York won their first game of the season with a 20-6 victory over Miami last week.

The Jaguars are averaging 140 ypg on the ground in 2017 and want to keep that philosophy going all season. Rookie RB Leonard Fournette doesn’t have a high ypc average but teams know he will get the ball 15-20 times a game. RBs Corey Grant and Chris Ivory have also chipped in and they should be a handful for a Jets defense that was trampled over in their first 2 games (30 yards on 15 carries last week). WR Allen Hurns has made plays as the new No.1 wideout and WR Marqise Lee has 11 receptions over the past 2 games. New York is breaking in a new secondary and while they played well against the Dolphins, they are still a work in progress. QB Blake Bortles has a 6-2 TD/INT ratio and has been sacked twice on the year. The Jags don’t want him to have to win games so look for lots of runs and quick passes to the wideouts.

New York’s offense is devoid of playmakers but they did enough last week to get a win. QB Josh McCown has been OK on the year but doesn’t do enough to make a defense lose sleep. He has been sacked 7 times this season and can expect to see a lot of Jaguar players in the backfield when he drops back to pass. WR Jermaine Kearse is the new No.1 receiver and leads the team in catches, yardage and TD receptions. Look for CB Jalen Ramsey to pay close attention to Kearse throughout the day. RB Bilal Powell continues to struggle so RB Matt Forte has taken on a bigger load than was expected. He is still a reliable receiver as well and should be the top target that the Jacksonville defense focuses on.

Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets Week 4 NFL Prediction
Both teams got big wins last week. The Jags are trying to become a legitimate threat in the AFC South and have looked great in 2 games and awful in the other. By sticking with the run, they are keeping pressure off of Bortles and he responded with one of his best days as a pro last week. The Jets are in total rebuild and feature young players everywhere in their lineup. I expect the Jaguar defense to put the clamps on a below-average NY offense and for the running game to lead them to another big road victory.
