Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans Odds & Pick
Betting Odds

The Tennessee Titans took down the AFC South thanks to a wild 41-38 win over the Houston Texans in week 17. The victory allowed the Titans to have home-field advantage in the opening round of the playoffs, which will feature a week 11 rematch against the Baltimore Ravens. The Titans pulled out a 30-24 victory in overtime in that match-up after a hard-fought back and forth battle. As a result, this Sunday's rematch at Nissan Stadium promises to provide another exciting match-up with the Ravens favored by just 3.5 points along with the highest total (55) of the weekend.

The Baltimore Ravens secured their postseason berth with a dominating 38-3 victory over the Bengals in week 17. QB Lamar Jackson delivered one of his best performances of the season, showing shades of his 2019 MVP season. Jackson threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another 97 yards before being pulled in the 4th quarter with the game firmly in control. Jackson has not had nearly as many of those huge performances that we expect from the former MVP this season, and that was also the case in week 11 when the Ravens star was held to just 181 passing yards with one touchdown and one pick. As everyone knows, the Ravens offense revolves around the success of their star quarterback, and they will be hoping for another big performance on Sunday.

Titans continue to ride RB Derrick Henry

Last year, the final weeks of the regular season and the playoffs officially became "Derrick Henry season." Seemingly out of nowhere, the Titans emerged from the AFC playoff picture and earned an AFC Championship appearance. The Titans' success in 2019 was primarily due to the fact they fed Derrick Henry relentlessly in their biggest games. Henry rushed for 182 yards in the opening win over the Patriots and then rushed for another 195 yards in the victory over the Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round.

When Tennessee needed a victory last week to clinch the division, they once again turned to their biggest asset, with Henry getting 34 carries and parlaying those touches into 250 yards with two touchdowns. It was the 2nd time in the last four games that Henry had eclipsed the 200 yard barrier in a single-game as the Titans continue to make him the focal point of the offense in their biggest games. When the Titans begin their playoff journey on Sunday, we should expect nothing less than a heavy dose from #22 in the realm of 25 plus touches. The Ravens made several off-season moves to address their run-stop defense, but it did not seem to work in the week 11 match-up as Henry ran for 133 yards with a touchdown. Needless to say, Baltimore's chances at getting revenge on the Titans will rely on their ability to stop Henry or perhaps hope for another huge performance from the Baltimore offense.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans Wildcard Game Predictions
To be completely transparent, I was surprised to learn that Baltimore was being favored in this game given their prior loss to Tennessee combined with the fact this game will be played in Nashville. However, I also understand the narrative because the Ravens offense has hung huge numbers in recent weeks averaging 37 points over the last five games. If Baltimore can post another number in that range, I don't believe Tennessee has the firepower to produce that many scoring opportunities. The problem with that narrative is that Baltimore's final five games were against 5 of the worst defenses/teams in the NFL. Therefore, I'm just not certain we should expect the huge numbers to continue.
The Titans defense is not exactly exceeding expectations, but bettors should not forget that Derrick Henry's success on the ground is the equivalent of keeping the ball out of Lamar Jackson's hands. Henry has been phenomenal this season and deserves a ton of respect. With that said, QB Ryan Tannehill is having an exceptional season that has mostly gone unnoticed. Tannehill has passed for nearly 4,000 yards and produced 33 touchdowns with just seven picks. Receivers A.J Brown has eclipsed the 1,000-yard barrier, and Corey Davis is just 16 yards shy of accomplishing the same goal. I have watched Tennessee's offense often this season, and they are a well-rounded group. If they can just get some help from the Titans defense, I think Tennessee's offense can get the job done yet again. It's definitely not a sure bet because this should be another close game but if you want some extra value; also consider the Tennessee moneyline!
