Andrew Luck Having Fantastic Season

It’s no secret that one of the biggest reasons for the Colts success has been the health of Andrew Luck who missed all of the 2017 season. The Colts entered a Week 11 matchup against a Titans defense that led the NFL in points per game allowed and dropped 38 points on them. Luck has now passed for at least 3 TD’s in his last seven games for the Colts. Lucks numbers on the season are a 67% completion rate for 2,769 yards with a 29:9 TD to INT ratio. It puts Luck in the comeback player of the year conversation, as the Colts look to handle business at home this week against the Dolphins. Another big reason for the Colts success this season is the work that they did in the 2018 draft.

First-round draft pick Quenton Nelson has made an immediate impact on the Colts offensive line. The Colts offensive line is on pace to allow just 16 sacks this season after allowing 56 last year. Clearly, the main focus for the Colts was to protect their franchise quarterback and keep him healthy. Then the Colts drafted LB Darius Leonard in the second-round who currently leads the entire league in tackles. Leonard has already tallied 104 tackles this season, while Kiko Alonso is in second-place with 89 tackles. The Dolphins rank towards the bottom of every offensive and defensive category and the Colts will look to exploit that on Sunday.

Miami Still Hanging Around

Injuries have played a major factor for the Dolphins this season. The biggest injury was to Ryan Tannehill, forcing the team to roll with backup Brock Osweiler. In Osweiler's first start of the season, he led the Dolphins to a 31-28 victory over a tough Chicago Bears team. Since that Week 6 victory, the team has gone 1-4 but could be getting Tannehill back this week against the Colts. Tannehill reportedly ramped up his throwing program during the bye week.

Coach Adam Gase said Tannehill made five-to-fifty-yard stationary target throws during the bye week and looked normal doing it. Still, Gase would not commit to Tannehill playing or even practicing this week. Facing off this week against the Colts which surprisingly has playoff ramifications. The Dolphins will get a big boost if Tannehill is ready to go.

This game will be the third-straight home game for the Colts, and it's hard to imagine them having any problems against the Dolphins. While we've seen some upsets this season, we don't expect that to be the case for the Colts who are favored -10 over the Dolphins this week. Take the Colts to win this game easily on Sunday.
