The Cardinals posted a SU 5-3 record in their second season in the ACC as part of an overall mark of 7-5. Following a shaky 2-4 SU in their first six games, they were able to right the ship with five wins in their last six contests. In a season ending 38-24 victory over in-state rival Kentucky, Jackson passed for 130 yards and a touchdown in addition to rushing for 186 yards and two scores in relief of Bolin, who helped the Cardinals dig an early 21-0 hole with two costly interceptions.
