The final Saturday in November sets the stage for a classic in-state rivalry between the South Carolina Gamecocks out of the SEC and the ACC’s Clemson Tigers. Game time from Memorial Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. (ET) it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

South Carolina has been an afterthought in the SEC the past few seasons and it wrapped up conference play this season with a straight-up record of 3-5 record. The Gamecocks are 6-5 SU on the year overall with a 5-6 record against the spread. They have failed to cover in four of their last six games and the total has stayed UNDER in their last three games. They are 3-4 ATS this season when closing as underdogs.

Clemson continued it quest for a return trip to the College Football Playoff with Saturday’s 35-13 victory against Wake Forest, but for the fourth time in its last five games, it failed to cover. The Tigers closed as 24-point road favorites in Saturday’s win and the total went OVER the 47.5-point line. It has gone OVER in five of their last seven games. Clemson is now 5-6 ATS overall with a 4-6 mark ATS when closing as a favorite.

A win this Saturday followed by another victory in the ACC title game would pretty much lock up a playoff berth. However, going back to close calls against NC State and Florida State followed by a SU loss to Pittsburgh, the Tigers are not playing their best ball of the year. Deshaun Watson added 202 yards of passing to his season total of 3,279 yards and his touchdown throws on the year stand at 28 after adding another scoring strike in Saturday’s win. He has also added another 425 yards and four scores on the ground this season as the team’s second leading rusher.
