Still, bettors may be looking to jump on Missouri in the wake of Muschamp's departure. However, I believe this is an excellent betting opportunity for the Gamecocks in the underdog spot. South Carolina's players have reportedly been really excited that Bobo will lead the team throughout the remainder of the season, and the Gamecocks have some weapons that will frustrate Missouri's defense in a big way this Saturday.</p>
<h2>RB Kevin Harris emerging as SEC's best</h2>
<p>Alabama's Najee Harris would be the popular pick as the best running back in the SEC if you were to take a straw poll around the conference. However, sophomore running back Kevin Harris deserves to be in the conversation. The Gamecocks running back took over the conference's leading rushing mark following a spectacular performance against the Rebels. Harris turned 25 carries into 243 rushing yards and a school-record five touchdowns in last week's loss.</p>
<p>To be clear, last week's performance was tremendous, but Harris has been playing extremely well all season. Harris has scored multiple touchdowns in 4 of the last five games. More importantly, in the last few weeks, the Gamecocks offense has made Harris the focal point, which has allowed the team to be more competitive. This focal point with Harris and the ground game will not change under Bobo, who has been calling the plays all season. The Tigers have struggled in terms of scoring throughout the 2020 season, and if they have trouble stopping the run, it will only shift more value towards the Gamecocks, who are already getting nearly a touchdown against the spread.</p>

<p>The major concern towards backing the Gamecocks is the horrendous play of the defense in recent weeks. Outside of the Texas A&M game, South Carolina has competed surprisingly well but continues to implode on the defensive side of the football in the latter halves of their games. I'm expecting Missouri to help that angle some in this match-up. Outside of the shootout win against LSU, Missouri has been held to 20 points or less in every game this season. From a talent perspective, the Tigers do not have the big play threats or elusive speed that should cause too much concern. Ole Miss Head Coach Lane Kiffen completely outclassed Muschamp in last week's match-up.</p>
<p>While I have a lot of respect for Missouri Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz's accomplishments, I'm not convinced he has the personnel to run the type of offense he desires. There are just not many playmakers on this Missouri offense, and unless that changes, the Gamecocks will have every opportunity to win this football game. If that does not raise your confidence level in the underdog, consider one additional angle. Missouri has shown very contrasting home/away performances this season. The Tigers have looked awful in both prior road games this season, and they are 0-6 ATS in their last six games on the road.</p>
