As of this writing, it's uncertain who will start behind center for the Rebs this week. Ole Miss opened its season with a 15-10 loss to Memphis, although the Rebels got outplayed by more than that final score might indicate. Mississippi then beat Arkansas 31-17, then defeated Southeast Louisiana 40-29.

Alabama, meanwhile, is 4-0, after disposing of Southern Mississippi last week 49-7. The Tide scored touchdowns on their first four possessions of the game, led 28-7 at the half and 42-7 through three quarters, then tacked on one final score with a minute and a half left to secure the cover as 37-point favorites. On the day Alabama out-gained the Golden Eagles 514-226 and won the ground battle 176-52. The Crimson Tide opened this season with a 42-3 victory over Duke, covering at -33. They then beat New Mexico State 62-10 but came up one score short of including a ridiculous 55-point spread. Alabama then won at South Carolina 47-23 but pissed away the money at -25 by allowing a meaningless Gamecocks touchdown with just 11 seconds left.
