The Cougars enter on a two-game skid sustained at the hands of both top-10 ranked Washington in Seattle and a Utah State team at home that has lost just one game to a then-ranked Michigan State this season.

At the minimum, the Cougars have faced three quality opponents this season as they have met Washington as mentioned above and Wisconsin, along with California. The Rainbow Warriors look too easy here, and that is why so many are inclined to jump all over them. On paper, the Rainbow Warriors have a better record, so therefore the points seem that much more enticing. However, it is assuredly a bait and line.
