Friday Night Lights: Wyoming at UNLV Pick ATS
Betting Odds
In what basically amounts to an elimination game in the Mountain West Conference second-place UNLV battles fourth-place Wyoming Friday night in Las Vegas.
Both teams are chasing Air Force and Fresno State in the race for the top two spots in the conference standings, but both teams are still alive. If the cards fell right, either of these teams could still make the Mountain West championship game.
But a loss on Friday night probably ends such hopes.

Wyoming Betting Preview
The Cowboys just snapped a two-game losing skid with a 24-15 victory over Colorado State last Friday. Wyoming, favored by six points, scored the first 10 points of the game and led 10-7 at the half. The Cowboys then scored the first 14 points of the second half to go up 24-7 and held on from there.
Wyoming out-gained the Rams 334-274, out-rushed CSU 194-54, won the turnover battle 3-1, and dominated time of possession 37:23.
That performance came as a welcome rebound for the Cowboys after losing their previous game at Boise State 32-7.
At 3-2 in conference play, Wyoming is tied for fourth place in the Mountain West, one game behind 4-1 Fresno State and UNLV, with three games to play. And the Cowboys own the head-to-head tie-breaker on the Bulldogs. So Wyoming remains in the running for a top-two finish in the MWC, which earns one a berth in the conference championship game.
UNLV Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Rebels just bounced back from a tough loss at Fresno State two weeks ago to beat New Mexico last Saturday 56-14. UNLV drove its first five possessions of the game to touchdowns, led 35-7 at the half and later 56-7, on its way to the easy cover at -14.
The Rebels out-gained the Lobos 416-362, and most of the yardage the UNLV defense allowed came in prevent mode.
UNLV opened its MWC slate with wins over Hawaii, Nevada, and Colorado State, then lost at Fresno State 31-24 but covered at +10 before thumping New Mexico.
At 4-1 in conference play, UNLV is tied with Fresno State for second place, one game behind 5-0 Air Force. And the Rebs get a shot at the Falcons next week.
These two teams have played three common opponents so far this season, Colorado State, Fresno State, and New Mexico. UNLV played those foes to 2-1 both SU and ATS and +96 yards per game, Wyoming to 3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS and +27 YPG.

Wyoming Cowboys at UNLV Rebels Free Pick ATS
Coach Odom is doing a super job in his first season at UNLV. However, we do get the feeling the Rebels have been producing a bit over their heads, taking advantage of a weak MWC schedule so far. Meanwhile, in its two games against the top two teams in the MWC, Wyoming beat Fresno State and took Air Force to the last two minutes of the game. Our take is this game will play close, too, so we're betting the Cowboys plus the points.
