The road to victory in Tallahassee will hinge on the play of Heisman hopeful quarterback Deshaun Watson, but Clemson did get some good news when running back Wayne Gallman was elevated to probable following a concussion. Watson has thrown for 1,950 yards and 20 touchdowns and Gallman leads the team in rushing with 489 yards and five scores on 90 carries. The Tigers have also gotten a strong effort from a defense that is ranked ninth in the nation in points allowed (15.3).

Florida State has already dropped two games in conference play this season with a 63-20 loss to Louisville as a slight one-point road favorite early in the year followed by a tight 37-35 loss to North Carolina on Oct. 1 as a 10.5-point favorite at home. To get back on track with a win in this game, Florida State is going to need a big effort from running back Dalvin Cook, who is still receiving some outside consideration for this year’s Heisman. Freshman quarterback Deondre Francois has completed 62.4 percent of his 221 passing attempts for 1,876 yards and 10 touchdowns. The one big concern for the Seminoles is a defense that has struggled with consistency this season, especially in conference play.
