Tough Break for Jayhawks<br />

The game is set to take place this Wednesday, 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. It was a bad weekend for the Jayhawks. Not only did they get blown out by Iowa State, but then news broke Sunday night that Junior center Udoka Azubuike will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ligament in his right hand. This will require surgery, as Azubuike had already missed five games this season, and the Jayhawks have gone just 3-2 in those games. The down low presence of Azubuike will be greatly missed and impossible to replace. The big man was averaging 13.4 points and 6.8 rebounds before the injury. The Jayhawks will just have to rely more on Dedric Lawson and Lagerald Vick the rest of the way. Lawson leads the team with 18.6 PPG and 11.1 RPG, and Vick is second on the team averaging 14.8 PPG and second on the team in steals (1.6). We'll see what kind of magic Bill Self can pull off with this team, as the 16-year head coach for the Jayhawks remains one of the best around.

Horned Frogs Looking to Stay Hot<br />

TCU enters this one off an 85-81 victory over Baylor, as they pulled off a late comeback behind Desmond Bane's 22-point performance, and Alex Robinson's 18 points and 10 assists. The junior guard Bane leads his team in scoring with 14.4 PPG. This team gets production throughout the entire lineup with Robinson averaging 13.5, Kouat Noi's 13.2, Jaylen Fisher's 12.1, and JD Miller's 11.5 PPG. This poses a threat to a Kansas team that just lost one of their best players and a big man who can really contest shots in the paint. Freshman center Kevin Samuel stands at 6-11 tall, as he and senior forward JD Miller do most of the work on the boards. Samuel averages 6.8 rebounds and Miller averages 6.5 rebounds. Jamie Dixon is in just his second-year as TCU's head coach but remains one of the most established head coaches in college basketball after spending 13 years at Pitt, with a record of 328-123.
