Toronto Raptors at Golden State Warriors Game 3 Pick
Betting Odds

The NBA Finals now shifts out West to Oracle Arena for games three and four, and the Golden State Warriors have stolen home-court advantage. The Warriors lost the series open to the Toronto Raptors but were able to steal game two away and finished it off with a 109-104 victory. Toronto will now be forced to win a game in Oakland, or their championship dreams will be dead.

Golden State entered the NBA Finals after a 10-day layoff, and rust was a big problem for the defending champions in the series opener. The Warriors didn’t exactly dominate game two, but they made enough plays to win. Toronto looked to be in control of game two, but they couldn’t stop the Warriors huge run in the third quarter. Golden State is a -6.0 point favorite in game three of the series.

Injuries Continue to Plague Warriors

The Warriors might have won game two, but it might have cost them one of their star players. Golden State is already playing without Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson was forced to leave the game with a hamstring injury late in game two. Thompson poured in 25 points before leaving with the injury, and Durant is averaging 34 points per game so far in the playoffs. Injuries might end up costing the Warriors in this series.

DeMarcus Cousins did return to the starting lineup in game two and had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Stephen Curry had his worst game of the playoffs in quite some time but still finished with 23 points in the win. The Warriors still played 11 players in game two, but they are starting to run out of players in a hurry. Golden State could use another 10-day layoff, but that isn't going to happen.

Kawhi Leonard Needs Some Help

The Toronto Raptors got plenty of help from their role players in the series opener, but that wasn’t always the case in game two. Toronto played just three players off their bench, and Fred Van Vleet was the only player who scored double-figures. The Raptors also shot just 28 percent from deep in the game three loss, and that won’t get the job done against Golden State.

Kawhi Leonard continues to amaze in this playoff run for the Raptors, but he is doing to need some help. Leonard had a game-high 34 points in game two and went 16-16 from the charity stripe. Pascal Siakam had 32 points in the series opener but was able to score just 12 in game two as the Warriors paid more attention to him. The Raptors are going to need players to step up if they are going to win.

Raptors at Warriors Prediction 06/05/2019
Toronto missed their chance to take a commanding 2-0 lead in this series, and it is going to come back to bite them. The Warriors are always extremely tough to beat at home, and they still have enough talent despite their injuries. Golden State just doesn’t lose very often, and it’s not happening in game three.
