Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets Game 2 Pick
Betting Odds

Most thought that game one of the second round of the Western Conference playoffs would be good as the Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets match-up, but few had thought that it would be this good. The Nuggets took the first game of the series at home 121-113 and are looking to extend that lead to 2-0 before heading to Portland. With as much momentum as the Blazers had coming in, the Nuggets put an end to that. The Nuggets are looking to continue their momentum going forward by stopping the Blazers once again. The Nuggets are favored in game two by 3.5 points. The over/under for the game is 219 points.

Nuggets Look to Capitalize

There is nothing more important than taking both games of a playoff series when you have home court advantage. The Nuggets are well set to take the first two games of the series, and that would be a huge step prior to the series moving to Portland. So far this postseason, Nikola Jokic is leading the team in scoring. He's averaging 24.9 points a game through eight games. He also leads the team in assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks. Jokic is the guy who makes this organization run smoothly. He also has an insane 33.08 player efficiency rating so far in the playoffs. In the first game of the series, Jokic scored 37 points 11-for-18 shooting. He also pulled in nine rebounds and dished out six assists. If Jokic continues to put up stat lines like this, I am not sure that there is a team in the NBA that can stop him. This is a massive game for the Nuggets and expect Jokic to compete.

Blazers Will Try and Snag a Win

The last thing that you want to do in the playoffs is find yourself down 2-0 early in a series. That is precisely where the Blazers are headed as they fell in the first game but look to grab a win here tonight in game two. Damian Lillard has continued to defy all odds and has to-date an amazing postseason, but against the Nuggets they are not going to be able to rely on just Lillard's offense. Lillard scored 39 points in the first game of the series, and that still wasn't enough to win. Enes Kanter added in 26 points, but CJ McCollum only pitched in 16 points. For the Blazers to have a shot at winning this series those three players are going to have to really step up and play to their capabilities.

Trailblazers at Nuggets Prediction 05/01/2019
The Blazers are facing a game in which could almost be said a must win. The Nuggets are a really good team, and it would be tough to win four of six against the second seed in the Western Conference. I think that this is going to be a tighter game than many think and the Blazers will be able to contain Jokic. Look for the Blazers to escape Denver with a big, big win.
