Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets Overview

Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers returned to their fundamentals and outright bullied the Nets on the boards in Game Three. Philadelphia outrebounded Brooklyn 54-43 in total rebounds and showcased why it closed out the regular season as a top-five team in both total rebounding and opponent rebounding against. Ben Simmons led the way to the Game Three win with an impressive 31 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks showcasing why many have heralded the multi-faceted Point Guard as one of the emerging stars in the NBA.

Brooklyn Nets

Nets Guards certainly showed up in Game Three as the trio of Caris LaVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, and DeAngelo Russell combined for 67 points. Unfortunately, the rest of the Nets personnel could not combine for even 50 points which served as a deciding factor in Game Three. Overall, Brooklyn was outshot from the field by a margin of 48.4% to 41.1%.

Reasons To Back Philadelphia

The 76ers have now won back-to-back games by an average margin of 19 points and are certainly exhibiting the characteristics of a team that looks like it can make it all the way to NBA Finals. Philadelphia has a blueprint and a template to follow in handling the Nets and given how seamlessly it has been executed one must wonder if the Nets may find themselves demoralized after stealing Game One from the Sixers in Philly. The momentum is assuredly with the Sixers, and nothing can typify this more than Philadelphia hitting over 40% of their three-point attempts in Game Two compared to Brooklyn who hovered around 20% from beyond the arc.

Reasons To Avoid Brooklyn

Once again, the Nets look like they belonged on the same court with Philadelphia in Game Three either. From the third quarter onward, the Sixers wore the Nets out and drove away in the final stages of the contest. This was most evident in Philly doubling Brooklyn’s fast break points by a margin of 16-8.

76ers at Nets Prediction 04/20/2019

Quite frankly I am a bit puzzled here that the Sixers are offered at around the same price that they were in Game Three, but I'll take advantage regardless. Philadelphia has shown in the last two games that they are a force to be reckoned with and the superior outfit compared to their counterparts. Sixers win this one again perhaps by maybe a bit of a closer margin, but nonetheless, we are only asked to lay one basket. I don't think Philly will have trouble holding up its end of the deal there. Spot the points.
