Los Angeles at Golden State Game Overview

The Lakers are coming off a big 112-103 victory against Denver on Tuesday night as 2.5-point underdogs at home. This win followed a 14-point upset over Cleveland at home on Sunday as two-point underdogs. They are now 8-2 straight-up in their last ten games with a 7-3 record against the spread. The total stayed UNDER 232.5 points against the Nuggets, and it has remained UNDER in three of their last five games. Los Angeles is 4-1 both SU and ATS in its previous five road games.

Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma each scored 26 points with 13 rebounds apiece in Tuesday’s win. Isaiah Thomas added another 23 points off the bench. Los Angeles shot a pedestrian 44.4 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range, but it dominated the boards with 52 total rebounds. The Lakers are currently averaging 108.8 points per game after putting up at least 110 points in 11 of their last 13 games.

Golden State will be trying to stop a two-game skid after suffering back-to-back losses to Portland and Minnesota on the road. The total stayed UNDER 224.5 points in Sunday's 109-103 loss to the Timberwolves as a 3.5-point favorite. The total has stayed UNDER in six of its last eight games. The Warriors had won their previous seven games SU, but over their last ten games, they have gone a costly 2-8 ATS. This tough stretch includes a 1-3 mark ATS on their home court.

Part of the reason for the recent losses is an injury to Stephen Curry’s ankle that will keep the team’s leading scorer out of the lineup for Wednesday night. In his absence, Kevin Durant has put up at least 37 points in each of his last three games. He is now slightly ahead of Curry (26.3 points) on the stats page with an average of 26.6 PPG. The Warriors remain the NBA’s top-scoring team with an average of 115.6 points, but they fall to 20th when it comes to points allowed (107.7).

Los Angeles at Golden State Prediction 03/14/2018
The Lakers are playing their best ball of the season with the current lineup performing exceptionally well together following a shake-up at the trade deadline. They are still playing Golden State on the road, so reality may set in as to just how wide the gap is between the two division foes still is even with Curry on the shelf. I am still taking Los Angeles to cover ATS in a game that should also go OVER the current total line.
