Eovaldi is also making his sixth start of this postseason. Last Friday in Game 1 he got touched for five runs and six hits through 4 2/3 innings and was set to take the L, before the Rangers rallied to win that game. But so far this postseason he’s held opponents to 12 runs and 27 this through 30 2/3 innings, with five walks against 36 strikeouts.

Texas played 15-10 with Eovaldi during the regular season and it’s 5-0 with him this postseason.

Splits With the Sticks

Texas batted .261 against right-handed pitching this season, with a .334 team OBP and a .456 team slugging percentage. This line-up lost a hot stick the other night when Adolis Garcia tweaked an oblique but his replacement, Travis Jankowski, had two hits and two RBI Tuesday night.
