Tampa Bay Rays vs. L.A. Angels Prediction
The Rays have won three in a row and four of their last five games and they recently passed the New York Yankees and are now in 2nd place in the AL East 3.5 games back of the Boston Red Sox. Their pitching has been superb as of late, as in their last three games they have only given up a total of four runs. The Tampa Bay pitching has had to be solid lately since they have only totaled 15 runs in their last five games. While the Rays are surging the Angels are struggling losers of five of their last eight games. In their last four games, they have only scored a total of six runs. Reigning MVP Mike Trout is just off the DL after missing several weeks with a thumb injury and in the first game of this series he was 1 for 5. Cobb has pitched well as of late and look for him to have another good outing tonight facing an Angels lineup that has really struggled to score runs in their last few games. While Ramirez has not pitched well in his last few games at home he is coming off a good last start. He will have a good outing tonight as well, but Cobb will out-duel him and just like Game 1 the Rays will win in a low scoring affair.
