Going back a bit further, Boston is 3-1-1 over its last five series and 10-5 over its last 15 games. At 68-60 overall, the Red Sox trail the Astros by 3.5 games in the battle for the final American League wild-card spot. This series is the first meeting between these teams since 2019.
