James Paxton gets the call for the Mariners and in his last outing he gave up two earned runs in six innings in a 3-2 win over the Oakland A’s. Seattle had lost his previous three starts. Paxton would like to forget his lone start against Houston this season when he gave up six earned runs in five innings in a 7-3 Seattle loss. The Mariners are 2-8 in Paxton’s last 10 home starts and they have lost their last four games with him on the hill facing a team with a winning record.
