We give Teheran the check-mark in the pitching match-up, and Atlanta owns short edges with the sticks and in the bullpen. So we like the Braves here for our free MLB pick.
I do think that the Indians should get the money in this game, but I’m not willing to risk basically 2-1 to see. The rookie starter Zach Pleasac has been really good at times this season, and while he has given up the long ball, the Tigers rank 29th in home runs this season and are unlikely to capitalize. Detroit's starter Norris as mentioned has had success in Cleveland, and while he hasn't been overpowering, he has been adequate. I think we're looking at a 4-2 type game today making the UNDER the play.
I'm not a big trend player in football, but in MLB it does offer some value and should be used in your handicapping. This afternoon's game has a few strong trends supporting a total bet on the OVER, but Buckner behind the plate has me shying away from that. I'll go instead with a run line wager on the Mariners. The runline play on a home team is always a risky bet, but today’s matchup has enough stats to back it up. Seattle had won eight straight games by three or more runs until last night's one run victory. The Orioles took advantage of a reliever making his first start in three seasons and his first 2019 MLB appearance last night and may revert back to the team that scored over three runs just once in eight games losing all of the seven games by three or more runs. Look for Seattle to start another streak.
Los Angeles owns the edge in the pitching match-up and in the bullpen. Meanwhile, Colorado could be without two key sticks. So we like the Dodgers here. But we also believe the price on this game is a bit steep. So we'll take a chance and play LA against the MLB run line for our free pick for Friday.
These two teams are headed in different directions as of late; Tampa is cooling following a hot start to this season, while Oakland is improving following a slow start. We'll take the A's for our free MLB pick for Thursday.
This game sets up as a double play with the MLB streak betting method, and while we don't always abide by that theory, we're betting it here. We like the Pinstripes for our free MLB pick for Thursday.
Texas was hot a little while ago, but now seems to be cooling. Cleveland, meanwhile, appears to be warming up at the moment. Plus, the Indians own the edge in the pitching match-up and in the bullpen comparison. We're taking the Tribe for our free MLB pick for Wednesday.
Kelly gets the check-mark in the pitching match-up, but Colorado owns an edge with the bats. With other factors evening out we see betting value here with the Rockies at the underdog price.
Hamels owns the edge in the pitching match-up, and the Cubs holds an advantage with the sticks. So we like the North Siders in this spot. But we don't like the line on this game. So we'll take a chance and play the Cubs against the MLB run line.
We're not sure who's going to win this game, but with two of the best lineups in Baseball against RH pitching and two iffy bullpens, we do expect plenty of runs to be scored. So we're taking the over on this game for our free MLB pick for Monday.
Tanaka may own the edge in the pitching match-up here but not by much. And our other baseball handicapping factors seem to even out. Our guess is New York will eventually be posted as a favorite of around -130 to -140 for this game, but if that's the case, we'll be betting on Tampa and the underdog price.
This pitching match-up seems about a wash, and while Milwaukee owns an edge with the sticks, San Francisco owns the edge in the bullpen. Also, the Giants are just playing the better ball as of late. We'll go with San Francisco at the home dog price for our free MLB pick for Sunday.
Atlanta is hot, Philly, not so much, and momentum plays a big part when we're handicapping baseball games. So we're betting the Braves with our free MLB pick for Saturday.
Milwaukee and Davies get the check-mark in the pitching match-up, and while San Francisco might own an edge in the bullpen comparison, the Brewers own a solid edge with the sticks. So we like Milwaukee for our free MLB pick in this spot.
Chicago and Giolito own the edge in the pitching match-up, but New York gets the check-mark with the sticks and in the bullpen comparison. Plus the Yankees are basically a pick'em. We'll take New York for our free MLB pick for Friday.
LA and Kershaw own the edge in the pitching match-up, but we give Chicago a slight advantage with the sticks. So we see betting value here with the Cubbies at the underdog price.
Philly may own a short edge in the pitching match-up, but with other factors equaling out, we see betting value with Arizona at the underdog price. So we're going with the Diamondbacks for our free MLB pick here.
Houston owns advantages in the pitching match-up and in the bullpen comparison, so even though they're missing those three key sticks, we still like the Astros for our free MLB pick for Tuesday.
Sale owns the advantage in the pitching match-up, and we might also give Boston short edges with the sticks and in the bullpen. But there's no way the Sox should be favored by this much. Boston isn't even playing .500 ball as of late, while Texas is 3-0-1 over its last four series. We're taking the Rangers and the fat underdog price.
Saturday's pitching match-up seems close to a push, and while Chicago owns an edge with the bats St. Louis holds an edge in the bullpen comparison. So we are going to lay the small price and back Cardinals.
