Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros Prediction
Before winning yesterday the Tigers had lost three in a row and the first two games of this series. In those three losses they only totaled four runs. Detroit is in 3rd place in the AL Central four games back of the Minnesota Twins, who have won four in a row. Former Cy Young winner Verlander has been decent as of late and the Tigers have been giving him run support. They will give him some tonight, but he will not need much. He will continue his solid pitching against the Astros, who he has had success against in his career. Houston has lost four of their last six games, but they are still tied with the Colorado Rockies for the most wins in baseball. Fiers is coming off a good start and while he will be decent tonight he will not shut down the Tigers’ lineup. Detroit will get him for a few runs and they will win this game in a low scoring affair.
