Chicago Cubs vs. Tampa Bay Rays Prediction
The Cubs are hot winners of six in a row and it could not be a better time for them to go on a win streak. They are in first place in the NL Central with a 3.5 game lead on the Milwaukee Brewers and a six game lead on the St. Louis Cardinals. Chicago swept St. Louis in their last series where they only gave up six runs in the three games. Time is running out for the Rays and they are out of the AL East race and have to rely on the Wild Card, where they are five games out of the 2nd spot. They had lost three in a row before winning their last game. Montgomery is back in the rotation and his last two starts have not been good ones and the same goes for Archer, who has struggled as of late. Have to go with the hotter team in this one, as the Cubbies have won six in a row and 10 of their last 11 interleague games. Chicago will take this game winning their 7th in a row.
